Toolbox goals track gifts purely based on a fund. The goal tracking in Toolbox is meant to indicate if enough funds have been raised to meet the total compensation package. Though this is the same for long-term goals (Staffnet), Toolbox pulls the goal from the individual staff records (whereas Staffnet pulls it from the fund).

So, if a couple simply has one unified goal, they can enter the same goal for each of them, and it will track it. If they each have different goals, though should add those goals together and each enter that the total, since the goals are attached to the same fund. Either way, they should each enter the same goal into Toolbox, so that the site will accurately track the completeness of the goal relative to the fund.
