Fall Evaluations and New Salaries 

Supervisors, we appreciate the ministry of supervision you provide our missionaries! 

Once a year, Reliant missionaries and supervisors evaluate their jobs and review their performances. After evaluations are completed, Reliant program team directors work together with supervisors to set updated salaries for the coming year.


This year, we are introducing a new, updated review. Here are a few distinctive to this new process.

  • This document will be a shared resource between the missionary and their supervisor.
  • The missionary will complete their portion, and then share this resource with their supervisor to fill out their portion.
    • Pastors and local church board members, you will share this with both your supervisor and your church personnel committee.
  • The supervisor or missionary will share this Google Doc with their program team at either collegiate.program@reliant.org or us@reliant.org.

What to do next?

  1. Create a copy of the performance evaluation spreadsheet (if you have a @reliant.org email address, please fill out the form while logged in to that account in Google).


    1. If you have trouble accessing the Google form, please contact your program team at collegiate.program@reliant.org or us@reliant.org.
  1. Complete one performance evaluation spreadsheet for each missionary you supervise.
    1. First tab of evaluation – This must be fully completed for each missionary you oversee. 
    2. Second and/or third tab of evaluation – These are to be completed for missionaries if you believe they may be ready for or close to a promotion to a new staff level. Complete either the Missionary tab or the Pastor/Minister/Ministry Supervisor tab, depending on their staff level. If they are not close to a promotion, you may skip these tabs. 
  2. Meet with the missionary you are supervising and provide him/her feedback.
    1. Reliant carries the value that each missionary receives an annual evaluation of their progress, performance and fruitfulness. Missionaries need to receive regular constructive feedback regarding their performances. If you handle this feedback in another context, that is great. The minimum commitment of Reliant's Partner Organizations is to give solid feedback at least once a year. 
  3. Share completed evaluations with your program team by clicking on the Google Share button and sharing it with collegiate.program@reliant.org or us@reliant.org by Friday, October 29th.
  4. When you receive a scheduling email, schedule a Compensation Review call with Mike Swann or CJ White. These are done between Nov. 1 and Dec. 7th, and each call typically lasts 20-30 minutes, though this may be more for larger staff teams. We will review together changes needed in ministry levels and salaries. We will send out an email to sign up for a time when your reviews are finished and turned in. 
  5. Notification of new salary offers go the missionaries on Dec. 16th. January 16th is the missionary's deadline for accepting the offer and setting new support goals.
