How to Start Giving

   


Thank you so much for helping me get connected with other people you know. I’m excited about the opportunity to share with them what God is doing at <church/ministry>.

Earlier I mentioned that before I left I’d share more with you about how to start giving. I mentioned that most people give to Reliant through our online donor website. It’s safe, secure, and easy to use and you can start, stop or change your giving at any time. You can sign up to give your monthly gift, via our LifeLink program, where you can have your gifts given automatically each month through your checking or savings account or through your credit card. Would it make sense for you to give that way?


No.  I’m really not comfortable putting my information online.


No problem.  I totally understand, not everyone is comfortable putting their information online.  We can still get you signed up for the LifeLink program that will allow you to have your gifts given automatically each month through your checking or savings account or through your credit card.  Would it make sense for you to sign up this way? 


No. I’d really prefer not to give automatically.  Is it possible for me to send a check each month?


Absolutely.  Let me tell you how your gifts are handled. Your first gift will be sent to the Reliant office with some paperwork I have to complete. After each gift is received, the office will send you a two-part receipt along with another envelope. Part of the receipt is for your records. The other part is for you to include with your next gift.  This will ensure that your gift goes to the correct ministry account.  For income tax purposes, each gift must be made payable to Reliant Mission. Do you have any questions about this process?

Great. In order to get your giving started we need to make sure Reliant has all of your information. This form ensures that I have all the correct information to give to them.  You can send that first gift in with this card so they will set up your donor account and connect your giving to the account I'm responsible for. Reliant will send you a receipt to confirm that they received it.
