Q: A donor has asked if Reliant can accept gifts of cryptocurrency. Is this possible?

A: Yes! Donations of cryptocurrency are welcome.

Q: How are cryptocurrency gifts processed?

A: Our platform for receiving a crypto gift is Engiven. Engiven serves non-profits in accepting and converting cryptocurrency gifts. Donations are converted the moment a donor gives and the money is automatically transferred to Reliant's bank account. You can find out more about Engiven on their website.

Q: Does Engiven charge a fee for their services.

A: Yes. As with any service created to provide solutions such as this, there is a fee involved. Engiven charges Reliant 4% of the exchanged value of the crypto gift. However, the Engiven fee is not deducted from the missionary or church project intended as the recipient of the gift. It is paid for by Reliant's general fund. The intended missionary or church project will be credited for the full converted amount of the gift.

Q: A donor has told me they gave a cryptocurrency donation but has not received confirmation from Reliant. What do I do?

A: It is very likely that Reliant received the donation without all the information needed to process the gift.

Q: A donor has told me they gave a cryptocurrency donation but I have not seen it appear in Staffnet or Toolbox. What do I do?

A: It is very likely that Reliant received the donation without all the information needed to process the gift. Without an entry in the memo field of the form, we are unable to connect the gift with the correct intended missionary.
