Basis of Missionary Mobilization

...

“Reliant partners with missional churches and Gospel-centered nonprofits to mobilize support-based missionaries for the Great Commission.”

The basis of a missionary’s employment and mobilization with Reliant starts in partnership with a missional church or Gospel-centered nonprofit organization.   That partner organization has provided Reliant with a supervisory structure for the missionary’s daily ministry. As well, the Partner Organization partner organization has provided clarity for the missionary’s intended role and participated in the assessment and hiring process for the prospective Missionary.

Missionary employment in Reliant requires an active Supervisor supervisor provided by the partner organization and an active Role Description role description (job description).

The missionary roles for which Reliant employs missionaries exist for the primary purpose of furthering the Great Commission. Therefore, the primary emphases of jobs given will directly or in-directly indirectly support preaching the Preaching the Gospelgospel, Evangelismevangelism, Teaching teaching and Discipling discipling followers of Christ.

Such roles fall into the “Ministerial Exemption” “ministerial exemption” in the category of FSLA Fair Labor Standards Act requirements.

The first responsibility of the Missionary missionary and Partnering partnering organization is to bring to Reliant Ministry Partners ministry partners (donors) and donations to cover the expense of the ministry of the missionary, including salary, reimbuseable reimburseable expenses, administrative fees and all related expenses.
