Reliant employees and interns as well as any LT leadership (such as volunteers) are not allowed to help coordinate rides to or from LT. It is the responsibility of the LT participants. Our liability begins at the start of the Program not to or from the Program location. It is the responsibility of the The LT director to make sure is responsible for ensuring that all LT contacts for every campus attending their LT are made aware of this rule.

Our liability insurance begins upon arrival to the event. Due to this fact, we can not organize transportation to or from the event as Reliant, Collegiate, and the local church could all be deemed liable for the risks associate associated with coordinating travel.   That means the participant is responsible to secure for securing transportation to the event. No Reliant employee (staff or , intern, or volunteer) can organize a carpool for driving to the event - that would need to be 100% solely led and organized by a student for liability reasons.

You can request an exception by following the instructions below.

In 2005, there was a wreck on the way to Orlando, LT and Reliant was involved in a lawsuit.   The student flipped their car because they fell asleep at the wheel. The parents of the student who was hurt in the process sued Reliant and the church that the participant came from for the cost of their medical bills. Because of this, a Reliant employee cannot be involved in the carpool process because Reliant and the church can be sued if a Reliant-paid employee is involved. If we say it was a completely participant lead then Reliant/church is not responsible until they arrive at the LT.
