On occasionOccasionally, and especially for short-term (or fixed-term) support raisers, milestones are not met by the ministry worker does not meet milestones. In response to this, often churches will often ask for some stronger accountability. Reliant then creates what's called a Standard of Performance (SOP) specific to the individual.

...

A Standard of Performance is a document that outlines weekly goals for a short time frame. The main difference between an SOP timeframe and normal MTD is that these goals, agreed upon by the church and Reliant, are now required instead of suggested. An SOP explicitly outlines the minimums that we expect of the ministry worker moving forward. To be clear, this This is not meant to be a punishment , but to help motivate and push each ministry worker to meet their goals and get fully funded. It is meant to add structure to the week-to-week journey with support raising for missionariesfield workers.

How to Create A Standard of Performance

There are a couple of ways to create a Standard of Performance, but they all start with an agreement with the church leadership and Reliant that some different kind of accountability is needed to help the ministry worker to take some steps forward. Once that agreement is made, Reliant will write up the SOP using a few metrics.

...

  1. Take a look at the total goal needed
  2. Check to see when the release-to-assignment date is
  3. Look at Toolbox under the MTD activity and look for patterns of behavior
  4. Using these basic metrics, pull up an empty goal setting worksheetuse the goal-setting worksheet to help make some new predictions.
    1. Plug in the start date of the SOP as today's date
    2. Enter the Release to Assignment date as the end date
    3. Enter all other needed info as it currently stands for the missionaryfield worker
    4. Assume an average of $100/monthly giving
    5. Once all of that is entered, take a look at the goals listed under weekly goals. Note these goals:
      1. Weekly Connection Attempts
      2. Weekly Connections
      3. Weekly Appointments Set Up
  5. Once you have the needed goals, you can use the below template these to create an SOP

Standard of Performance Process

  1. After a discussion with leadership, a decision to create an SOP is made
  2. Create goals based on previous performance and needed progress
  3. Deliver SOP to supervisor for approval
  4. Once approved, make sure the ministry worker and coach also have a copy
  5. Coach The coach will use SOP to dictate goals for the period of time SOP dictates
  6. Coach The coach will update Reliant Central on progress, and then Reliant will update the supervisor
  7. At the end of the allotted timeframe, the supervisor and Reliant Central will evaluate progress and take action steps for the missionary field worker moving forward.
    1. Possible deferral until next year
    2. Second A second SOP for continued progress
    3. Enough progress to let the missionary field worker go back to raising without strict expectations
