MTD "OFFICE HOURS"
before Thanksgiving)
Hi (name),
What if you could do a solid kick-off of your year-end appeal for under $100 in under an hour?
Batter up! Here's what we've set up for you:
- EOYA Letter - draft written for you. Simply edit it to include your stories/ your tone, then mail that turkey (see what I did there) the week before Thanksgiving.
- Magnet - template on Chalkine. All you need is a picture, name and contact info.
- Grab 40 addresses with Toolbox Jenni Saniuk do you want to link the tutorial? *Step 6, Address List on here: The Easy Peasy EOYA - Ministry Team Development - Solomon
- Special pricing and packages from Chalk Line. Magnet + letter printed and mailed for only $2.53 per person. Charge to your FD#.
- It takes about 10 minutes to set up the mailing and tell them when you want it mailed. Here's their calendar of deadlines.
- Chalk Line will print, stuff, stamp, label and mail it for you!
- Use all the time you just gained to personally follow-up on 20-40 appeal recipients.

We just released a package deal from Chalkline. They will print, stamp, label and mail for you. All you have to do is follow up with the recipients. Bonus: You can charge it directly to your FD#. You can find the EOY packages here.
We believe the year-end appeal is one of the most valuable tools in our toolbox when it comes to connecting with higher-capacity donors, so we wanted to make it as easy as pie for you.
I want you to think about the year-end appeal as a way to engage higher-capacity contacts that don’t give monthly. These are people who give sporadically or only give when asked and might not even be on your regular prayer letter list. Even if you can think of 5 people in that category, it’s worth it to personally invite them to give at year-end.
If you've been following along, here are November's action items:
- Take a snapshot of your giving before sending an appeal.
- Build your materials. This includes your appeal letter, any scripts you'll use and even a greeting card or magnet.
- Invite people to give! Aim for your invitations to hit the week before Thanksgiving. This puts you ahead of the pack and gives more opportunities for reminders and follow-ups.
If you haven't been following along, here's the entire Easy as PIE plan.
If you'd prefer a relational primer before inviting someone to give, send a snail-mail or email piece. This can be an "I'm thankful for you" card around Thanksgiving, your year-end appeal letter with a hand-written note, a prayer magnet, a postcard, etc.
If you have your magnet photo, your letter, and your address list, you can get these pieces created and set up to ship in 4 minutes. Pay direct from your FD#.
(Story of the talents - this is the place where you can invest and fruit will be manifested)

Fun Fact
Scientists have recently discovered something Paul the apostle wrote in his letter to the Philippians around AD 62! Researchers have proven that the part of the brain that processes worry is also the same part of the brain that processes thanksgiving. Therefore making it impossible for our brains to worry and be thankful simultaneously.
Here is what Paul wrote in Philippians 4:6-7, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything with prayer and thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all comprehension will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Here’s to an empowering end of year!
