Just wanted to check in with you real quick and see if you’re planning to do a year-end appeal? If so, how can I be a resource to you?

Couple of things you might want to check out:

• Make your EOYA Easy as PIE
• Sample appeal letter - Edit it to include your stories/ your tone. Mail that puppy the week before Thanksgiving, if possible.
• I’m holding “Office hours” every Wednesday at 2pm, EDT at this ZOOM link, if you want to pop in and get your questions answered/ get some encouragement.
• You can schedule a strategy session with me on a Monday or Wednesday afternoon.

Let me encourage you to do a year-end appeal. It’s one of the most valuable tools in the toolbox… especially when it comes to connecting with higher-capacity donors.

Hi {{first_name}}, it's Reliant Russ here. I can't believe it's almost November, but as we approach the holidays I wanted to remind you that it’s a great time to think about your EOY ask. This is the most pivotal time to reach out to your team and request their financial support as many seek tax-deductible ways to give at the end of the year (e.g. 31% of charitable giving happens in December 🤯). I've personally experienced a lot of sustainability in MTD via the EOY ask, so if you'd like to catchup and brainstorm together for 30 min. reply to this chat and let me know!

  • Hey Keva! My response was decent. I sent out about 30 or so messages and got close to 10 replies. From those 10 I had 4 phone/zoom calls with people.

• Personal touch made a difference. Following up a few weeks later also helped. 
• Ending with a question got more responses
• Anything encouraging was also received well
