MultiExcerptNameIntl RTA criteria - ongoing

Ongoing Missionaries

International employees must receive "release to assignment" approval in order to engage in ministry duties beyond their support raising duties. Typically, this will also mean that "release to assignment" approval must be obtained prior to an employee leaving their home country for their ministry assignment.

Initial release to assignment approval is contingent upon an employee obtaining the following goals. Employees must have:

  1. At least 100% of the pre-authorized support goal in current recurring gifts, according to Reliant's records, in the MTD account they are responsible to maintain.
  2. At least three (3) times the pre-authorized monthly support goal accumulated in the MTD account they are responsible to maintain OR the pre-determined infrequent ministry expenses goal (whichever is larger).
  3. In some cases, an additional amount accumulated in the MTD account, determined on a case by case basis by the Human Resources Director, according to the unique needs of the international staff member.

The total dollar amount in an employee's General Ledger account on the last day of the month will be the figure used to determine if they meet these last two criteria.

Fixed Term Missionaries

(

- up to 1 year assignments

)

An ongoing international missionary's release to assignment criteria is different than one with a fixed-term assignment. For a fixed-term assignment, an international missionary must have:

  1. 100% of the total funding needed for the duration of the ministry assignment through any combination of:
    1. current recurring gifts (promised to be given regularly), according to Reliant's records
    2. special gifts already given in the MTD account the missionary is responsible for
  2.  The cash balance needed before departure indicated on the One Year SGW.

The same Release to Assignment form is used to request release, when the missionary believes they have met the above criteria.

When an employee believes they have met or exceeded the above goals, according to Reliant's records, they must complete a Release to Assignment form and submit it to international@reliant.org. Reliant will then verify this information, determine if the employee is to be released to assignment, and notify the employee in accordance with the decision. Employees must continue raising support as their primary job responsibility until they have received release to assignment approval from an authorized representative of the Missionary Resources Department.
