 As you begin your transition from US Missionary to International Missionary there are various processes that are similar and others that are different from a ministry change in the US. There will be a look into the key things that are changing in the new role, without redoing the entire assessment process. However, this does mean that an abbreviated assessment process will be done. It will include things such as: 

  • Spouse reference 
  • updates on job description or ministry skills 
  • Call to Ministry 
  • International testing 

looking at key things that are changing with the new role, not wanting to redo all of the assessment process 

will do Along with these things, another local interview will be held with their your anticipated future supervisor reliant supervisor. You will also be a part of a Reliant interview where they you will talk through discuss some of the information from found on the international testing packet 

Their future supervisor & reliant make a decision about the transfer 

If approved, offer accepted 

International Orientation 

There will be an international orientation that will be a substitute for training 

packet. After this, your future supervisor and Reliant interviewer will make a decision in regards to the transfer. Then, if the transfer is approved, you will be able to accept the transfer. 

International Orientation 

During the transfer from a US missionary to an International missionary, you will not need to go  through another training, but attend an international orientation. During this orientation, Reliant will call you and explain the Reliant calls and explains aspects of employment that are unique to themyou, discuss your anticipated timeline , and other specific next steps steps.

MTD Hopes and Timeline 

 i.      When do you plan to start MTD for your international role, and how much time do you plan to devote to MTD?                                                             ii.     

  • When do you plan to transition away from current job responsibilities?

  • Do you need to change your employment status while you raise additional support (you have the opportunity to change to Associate or a Part-Time status in order to accrue funds more quickly)? If so, when?
