Volunteer LT Interns

Due to liability reasons, all LT interns (including those that do not wish to raise support) must go through our Reliant intern application. Volunteer interns who don't raise support will not be required to attend intern training. They will simply be applying to be considered a Volunteer LT intern. The application fee is $49. They A Volunteer Intern is one who interns at LT, but does not raise support. Another term for it might be Associate Intern. They will go through the same interview process as regular interns, receive a background check and will be added to Reliant's liability insurance. They will not be able to raise support in any way.

• • Volunteer Intern candidates must submit their application at least 6 weeks before the church/applicant needs to know if the applicant has been approved by Reliant as an LT Volunteer Intern. (NOTE: This is not 6 weeks before the LT start-date. It is 6 weeks before you/the applicant need to know if they're approved to intern at LT.) Six weeks will give time for Local Interviews to be performed, background checks to be run, Reliant Reviews done, a Hiring Decision Call with church leadership and the applicant to be notified. Submitting an application consists of: Completing all the required materials in the "Documentation Phase"  on Reliant's Assessment Hub; including all application forms, all references and pay the application fee. 
  • Interview with Local Leadership: We ask churches to complete the Local Interview within 2 weeks of the applicant submitting their documentation. 
• Training: Volunteer interns are not required to attend intern training.
