Reliant missionaries accept the privilege and responsibility to trust God to provide the necessary funding for their ministries. Gathering donations for Reliant is the missionary's first ministry.  Reliant calls this process Ministry Team Development (MTD).   A missionary should understand that payment of things like salaries, benefits, and other expenses fully depends on funds being made available to Reliant through his/her fund-raising efforts.

  • Employment with Reliant is "at will." The Missionary Field Manual is not a contract of employment and is not intended to create contractual obligations of any kind. Employment will be on an "at will" basis unless there is a specific, written employment contract that provides otherwise. Either Reliant or the employee may terminate employment at any time, with or without notice or cause, and for any or no reason. In order to retain necessary flexibility in the administration of policies and procedures, Reliant reserves the right to change, revise or eliminate any of the policies and/or benefits described in this handbook at its sole discretion and at any time.

  • Reliant provides Equal Employment Policy for its missionaries.

  • A Reliant missionary is employed by Reliant, and not the partner organization.
  • Reliant missionaries will receive W-2 tax forms as full employees of Reliant,  and Reliant and not 1099s (which are only used for independent contractors).
  • As ministers of the gospel, Reliant missionary roles are religious and ministerial in nature to support preaching the gospel, evangelism, teaching and discipling followers of Christ.
