What is a Sponsor Church?A Sponsor Church is a church that is financially supporting Reliant on your behalf and is committed to sending you as a missionary to the field. You You may have many churches that are a part of Reliant's ministry team on your behalf, but you may assign only one Sponsor Church to receive the discounted administrative assessment. Missionaries are eligible to receive a 3% administrative assessment instead of the normal 12% for any financial gifts sent to Reliant on their behalf by their Sponsor Church. In In order to receive the discounted assessment, the missionary needs to let Reliant know which church is their Sponsor Church.
How do I notify Reliant of my Sponsor Church?
Send an email to hr@reliant.org telling Reliant the name of your Sponsor Church. Include Include contact information for the church if available, such as physical mailing address, website address, and email address. Include Include your name and fund number in the email.
When should I notify Reliant of my Sponsor Church?
Notify Reliant by emailing hr@reliant.org before the first gift given from the church.

Typically, Associate Missionaries are not eligible for the Sponsor Church discount. However, as an Associate Staff missionary in Accruing MTD (see MTD Statuses), you are eligible for the Sponsor Church discount beginning right after you complete New Staff Training. Be Be sure to notify Reliant of your Sponsor Church at or right after New Staff Training so that you receive the benefit while you are an Associate Missionary.

Yes, you may change your Sponsor Church if your church stops giving to Reliant on your behalf or if another church comes on Reliant's Ministry Team on your behalf and is giving a larger gift than your current Sponsor Church.
