Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, since they are not organized as a church auxiliary, is required to file a Form 990 by the IRS, so they are listed by Charity Navigator.

Some financial partners have wondered why RELIANT is not rated on Charity Navigator—a popular site for rating charities for financial accountability.

Charity Navigator includes Reliant in their website directory, but does not provide star-ratings for church-based non-profits like Reliant. Like all church-based non-profits, we are not required to file a Form 990 with the IRS. This is the IRS form Charity Navigator uses to create their ratings of various non-profits and ministries.

Fortunately, there are other reputable third-party organizations that provide accountability and validation of our RELIANT core commitment to the highest standards in financial integrity and professional excellence.

We encourage our donors to review our published annual ministry reports (with detailed financials), annual audit by the top auditing firm in the nation for Christian non-profits (Capin Crouse, LLP), our Gold rating with Guidestar, and especially our membership in the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability since 1991.

These memberships match our values of good stewardship and prudent business practices. While we are vigilant on the latest legal and regulatory standards, we know our challenge is even higher than laws can provide: excellence and integrity as an offering to our Lord and witness to the world. (Deut 25:13-16; Matt 25:21; 1 Pet 2:12-17; 1 Tim 3:3,7)

In 2015, more than 20,000 donors invested over $23 million with our ministry and its projects and missionaries that year, and we're moved and grateful for their support.
