Subject: Making it Easy As Pie: End of Year Ask Season!

It's that the most wonderful time of year again when we remind you that it's never too early to start working on your the year! Time to engage those givers who respond well to an End of Year ask. But you may be asking.... what is that? Well, let me tell you!Ask.

Our theme this year is called Easy as P.I.E. - Plan, Invite, and Engage.

With these three steps, we believe you can easily and thoughtfully create an appeal that will be impactful and fruitful!

What is an End-of-Year Ask?

A special ask for ministry partners, allowing them to engage in a invitation to a ministry giving opportunity at the end of the calendar year.

Why is this

...

End-of-Year Ask important?

Statistics indicate:

  • 31% of ALL CHARITABLE GIVING happens at year-end.
  • 12% of all giving happens in the last three days of the year.

This is a season when everyone you know makes some financial choices for this year and next.  Two streams of thought are happening. They are deciding on their giving priorities for the next year. They are also receiving end-of-year bonuses and choosing how to be generous with their windfall earnings.

Our theme this year is called Easy as P.I.E. P.I.E. stands for Plan, Invite, and Engage! With these three steps, we believe you can easily and thoughtfully create an ask to your donors that will be impactful and fruitful! Now let's get down to the nuts and bolts of this plan:

Who should I invite?

This appeal speaks to a different type of donor than your monthly one. It attracts irregular givers, those who only give when asked and those who tend to be higher capacity and customarily give at year end.

Should I wait until the end of the year to ask?

Nope! The earlier the better!
