When you launched to the field, you invested significant energy preparing for the work ahead. As with any profession, ongoing development is equally important. Furthermore, as cross-cultural workers doing ministry in some of the most unreached and difficult soils of the world, you will face seasons that may benefit from specialized support.

As the A number of our Reliant international workers grows and matures, we have several that feel were called to minister the field to Goers as they minister to others. We are extremely excited to be able to offer their services as a resource for all of our international employees.other workers, and their services are available to all International staff, team members and team leaders alike.

Your engagement period will vary based on your needs, though these relationships are generally short-term to help you navigate a decision or season.  Consider this person a temporary addition to your existing care network to help you process and/or develop tools for thriving. Some reasons you might want to reach out to someone independent include, but are not limited to: debriefing, not thriving (whether you know why or not), marriage tuneup or conflict, parenting questions, team dynamics, considering changing locations or teams, or skill-specific coaching such as language learning, cultural adjustment or leadership development. While your primary care is likely coming from your supervisor, team, and sending church, a member care provider can be a great asset to all of these parties by providing specialized care in a third space that is separate from your ministry context. The goal of member care is not to create a dependent relationship, but to help you navigate seasons of difficulty and develop tools for future thriving.

Member Care Providers

Each of these care providers is a Reliant employee but operates under the supervision of their partner ministry. They have unique areas of ministry and will have different approaches to the member care relationship. Each will have an intake process and may charge a fee for their services. Fees will be paid through an internal transfer between MTD accounts, meaning no upfront costs to you!
