- Since most states have minimum auto insurance requirements that are not much less than Reliant's (and some are the same), you likely will not need to increase your coverage by much. However, any coverage change may increase your premiums.
- Contact your insurance agent or go to your insurance carrier's website to find out how adjusting your coverage will affect your premiums.
- You will have until July August 1, 2022, to meet this requirement. In the meantime, you can consider doing the following:
- If you have not been reimbursing mileage for work-related travel, review the Auto Mileage - Reimbursements page in the Field Manual. Reliant reimburses at the IRS mileage rate, which is set at an amount that takes into account the costs of operating a vehicle, including insurance coverage (see IRS Standard Mileage Rates)
- You can request an ME Bonus for Local Mileage (see Ministry Expense Bonuses - Payroll, Insurance, Retirement)
- You may want to shop around for a different auto insurance carrier. Sometimes you can find better rates with another company.
