Over the years, several missionaries have called the Reliant office asking for help in filling out a Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Employment Certification Form so they could have their college loans forgiven after they have paid 120 qualifying payments while working full-time for a qualifying Public Service employer or employers.  Before August 2021, the PSLF qualifications excluded non-profits where proselytizing was part of the job responsibilities.  The PSLF qualifying rules have changed to now say: "If you are employed by a not-for-profit organization, time spent on religious instruction, worship services, or any form of proselytizing as a part of your job responsibilities MAY be counted toward meeting the full-time employment requirement."  This could be great news for Reliant missionaries.  Please go to this website Public Service Loan Forgiveness to determine if you are eligible for this program.
