In preparation for an evacuation or vehicle malfunction, all personnel are required to have a supply bag packed and stored in each vehicle at all times.  This bag should include all necessary supplies for an evacuation or crisis, but also be able to fit in any vehicle size without significantly affecting performance.  All vehicle supply bags must include at a minimum:

  • Large medical/first aid kit including various bandages, medicines, sterile pads/wipes, etc.
  • Large roll of Duct Tape
  • Lantern (or heavy duty flashlight)
  • Additional Chem Lights/glow sticks
  • Multi-tool or knife
  • Mylar blanket/emergency blanket
  • Force multiplier for breaking glass and self-defense (Large screwdriver, tire tool, crow bar, etc.)
  • Additional food/snacks – candy bars, snack bars, etc.
  • Extra bottled water
  • Extra clothes or T-shirt
  • Extra medications (as appropriate)

The following additional items are recommended in a vehicle bag:

  • 20-30 feet of 550 cord
  • Seatbelt cutter
  • SOG entrenching tool
  • GPS
  • Sewing kit
  • Folding litter for transporting injured team members
  • Maps of city/region/country
  • SOG folding saw
  • Fire-starting kit
  • Water Purification/Iodine
  • Waterproof bags
  • Laminated copies of personal documents and Emergency contact card

 


Reliant recommendations and requirements for communication devices are determined by the location's International Location Risk Levels. 

  • Basic threat level: Vehicle Supply Bag is not required.
  • Moderate threat level: Vehicle Supply Bag is recommended but not required.
  • High threat level- Vehicle Supply Bag is required.
