This course identifies common misconceptions related to child sexual abuse and replaces these misconceptions with facts so that staff and volunteers are better equipped to protect children in their care.

Description

Screening job applicants and volunteers who will work or interact with children is an important responsibility. Effective screening practices limit the possibility that an applicant with inappropriate sexual motives gains access to children through child-serving programs. Program leaders should be aware of high-risk responses indicating that an applicant may be a danger to children served by the program.
