The management of Reliant is committed to providing staff with a safe and healthy workplace. It is the policy of Reliant Reliant's policy is that staff members report unsafe conditions and do not perform work tasks if the work is considered unsafe. Staff members must report all accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to their supervisors and to the Reliant Central Office. Both incidents (events that caused injury to a person or damage to equipment, building, or materials) and near misses (events that could have caused injury to a person or damage to equipment, building, or materials) must be reported to the Reliant Central Office.

The supervisor or leader at the location where the accident occurred will work with a member of the Central Office to perform an accident investigation.

The Central Office is responsible for seeing that the Incident/Near Miss Reports are being filled out completely , and that the recommendations are being addressed. Investigation of all accidents, injuries, and occupational diseases will use the following investigation procedures:

As a driver, you are Reliant’s representative at the scene, and you can capture the information immediately, before the vehicles are moved. Your action of taking pictures may also have an indirect benefit by sending a message to the other parties involved that Reliant takes accidents very seriously, and the facts are clearly recorded – less room for “my word against your word” arguments. Additionally:
